The Missions of the Central Coast Wine Services and the Paso Robles Wine Services are to promote the Wine Industry in the Central Coast in whatever way they are able: to provide their customers with excellent facilities and service, thereby allowing them the maximum opportunities for quality wine making, expansion, and success within the framework of a safe, professional work environment.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CENTRAL COAST WINE SERVICES

The Central Coast Wine Services was born out of the belief that the Central Coast Wine Industry could achieve greater potential, and achieve it faster, if it were supported by a full service Wine Service business.

Ideally, such an operation could assist both grape growers and wineries by expanding their alternatives for fermenting, aging, storing, finishing, bottling, tasting with their clients, and storing their case goods production.

In addition, other businesses, such as a quality wine laboratory, a retail delivery service, local consolidation, less expensive nation wide shipping, direct shipping to reciprocal states, and wine club operations could operate under a single roof, thereby simplifying these functions for wineries and furthering their success.

It is no surprise that the remarkable growth of the Central Coast Wine Services has paralleled the growth and recognition of Central Coast Wine Production.

Our Wine Services do for wineries things that they wish to do, or cannot do, efficiently. It also provides building space, capital equipment for wineries to rent, and a place where they can site their bond so that the winery funds can go into marketing product, not into bricks, mortar, and stainless steel.

Founded in 1988, the Central Coast Wine Services has grown from its initial, rented space in Santa Maria of approximately 16,000 square feet to its currently owned location.

The Central Coast Wine Services has a truck size scale, a crusher-destemmer, three presses, almost 2,000,000 gallons of stainless steel tanks, space to store more than 10,000 barrels, two bottling lines, room for approximately 460,00 cases of wine, a small producers crush pad, a rail siding, numerous truck docks, a conference room with an attached kitchen for wine tasting, and space rented both to other wineries and wine related, services businesses, including one of the foremost wine labs in California, currently comprises over 210,000 square feet.

In addition, The Central Coast Wine Services has recently started a sister organization; The Paso Robles Wine Services, which is located in Paso Robles, to serve small and moderate size wineries in that area.

Again, this Paso Robles facility was started in rented space, but it recently acquired a parcel of land by the Paso Robles Airport on which it will build its permanent home.

Currently, the two Wine Services Facilities provide homes for approximately 50 wineries and bottling, storage and/or shipping for many others.
